Snack Pak 4Kids is a non-profit organization created to provide weekend food supplements to students who are identified by their teachers as being food-insecure. They organization works through the school system to serve children on free/reduced meals program. Snack Paks of high-quality, nutritious, child-friendly food are sent home with children each Friday, creating food SECURITY for them over the weekend. Various community organizations partner with Snack Pak 4Kids to serve schools in the community. Currently Snack Pak 4Kids serves 15 schools in three San Antonio school districts.
Grace Church is partnering with Snack Pak 4Kids to serve children of Monroe May Elementary school in NISD. In our missional role, Grace purchases the food, packs about 300-400 snack paks each month, and delivers approximately 60 snack paks to Monroe May each week.
We also partner with Monroe May, the public school geographically closest to Grace Church. Our goal in partnering with the school is to support teachers and serve families. We work with the school counselor to identify needs that Grace can meet.
We do this in several ways:Aug – back to school supply drive and staff care packages
Nov – Thanksgiving meal boxes
You can email our Monroe May Coordinator, Lisa DeHart, to find out how you can help serve children. And you can find out more about our next Monroe May service event on our calendar page.
We do not proselytize or evangelize at school functions or on school property. We aim to show people Jesus instead of merely talking about him.
